NOW HIRING: 

PRODUCTION BAKER

This is a position for our Baynes Street location. You will spend your days in a fast-paced production setting with your fellow bakers, producing our delicious bread, bagels, pretzels and granola. You will join a worker-focused team that embraces both the hustle and satisfaction of creating a top notch product.

Primary job tasks at our production bakery will include hand shaping bagels, pretzels and breads, mixing doughs according to formulas and baking. Additional responsibilities include packaging products to be delivered to contracts and keeping a clean and tidy workspace throughout the production day. This job is ideal for someone who is looking to work with a variety of artisanal, sourdough based products. This position is for 24-32 hours/week. Starting pay is $16.75/hour plus weekly co-op happiness (our alternative to tips) bonus. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assisting with or solo mixing, shaping, baking all types of goods produced

  • Packaging products to be delivered to stores and restaurants

  • Complete tasks in a neat and timely manner

  • Adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards

  • Maintain workspace appearance by straightening, cleaning and replenishing as needed

  • Receive and restock deliveries as needed using proper inventory rotation

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to work mornings/days and weekends

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, production environment

  • Ability to remain on your feet for duration of shift

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Team-work mentality

Preferred Experience:

  • Has worked with dough, preferably in a high volume environment

  • Has worked in a commercial kitchen and/or production bakery

  • Comfortable with a hot, busy, flour-y work environment

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • 1-2 years experience in a retail/food service/production related field
